Meet Michael
Co-Founder Michael Hansen is a seasoned communications professional, nonprofit executive, and storyteller with 17+ years of experience in marketing, public relations, and digital media. Previously, Michael served as executive director of a nonprofit called GASP. Mud Pie offers strategic planning, visioning, public relations, digital media, advertising, integrated marketing, and other communications and strategic business services, with an emphasis on nonprofit organizations and small businesses.

Transparent Pricing
You’re a busy person who has sh*t to do. We publish our rates so you don’t have to waste your time sending requests for a quote, sitting through sales calls, and reading complicated contracts. We don’t believe in charging surprise fees or unexpected extra costs. Everything is customizable — of course — but you should know what to expect before you proceed.
Yes, we do offer a friends and family discount to friends and family.
Our Rates
We know that every business situation is unique. We offer a range of packages below that fit the typical organization’s needs, but we are delighted to craft a custom proposal that best aligns with your needs.
Buttermilk Pie
This is ideal for a small-but-growing organization or business looking for some basic marketing and PR support. Five hours a month might include graphic design (e.g., flyers and social media graphics), social media maintenance, and 1-2 press releases. These are your hours — use them however you wish!

Apple Pie
You get 10 hours of my time per month to use how you’d like. That might include basic website maintenance, weekly social media management, and as-needed graphic design services. It’s your call!

This is the full package. This package will get you 20 hours per month, which would cover just about everything you need, whether that’s for ongoing marketing projects or a PR campaign or developing a strategic plan.
